Standing seam joins panels at a raised seam clipped to the structure below rather than fixing through the sheet, so there is no penetration through the weathering surface and the roof can move as it heats and cools without tearing at its fixings — the condition a roof in Qatar lives in every day. The roof follows the same five stages as the frame beneath it. The scope is confirmed in writing before quoting. Shop drawings, method statement, inspection and test plan and risk assessment go to the consultant for approval against QCS 2014. Materials are prepared and inspected against the approved plan. Installation is sequenced around the main contractor's programme. Snagging, as-built documentation and the certificates the consultant needs then close the package.
