What this covers
Design, fabrication and erection of pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB) — warehouses, workshops, factories, stores and labour accommodation. A pre-engineered building suits a regular, repeating envelope, where the frame can be optimised to a standard bay and fabricated to a repeated detail. The test is whether the building repeats, not how big it is; where it does not, conventional structural steel is the better answer, and Masas delivers both.
The record on this site includes warehouses with labour accommodation alongside them, a bottling plant, a food storage building with a temperature-controlled interior, a cold store, a food processing building detailed for hygienic production, a plastics factory with roof ventilation for a process that runs hot, workshops sized for truck and mobile crane maintenance, canteen buildings on an operating school campus, and manufacturer-branded vehicle service centres. Where the envelope is the product — a cold store, a wash-down bottling hall — the frame and the cladding are detailed together.
Every building follows the same five stages. The scope is confirmed in writing before quoting. Shop drawings, method statement, inspection and test plan and risk assessment go to the consultant for approval against QCS 2014. Cutting, fitting, welding and surface protection happen in the workshop, inspected against the approved plan. Transport and erection are sequenced around the main contractor's programme. Snagging, as-built documentation and the certificates the consultant needs then close the package.
Construction, installation and erection of pre-engineered buildings and warehouses are named in the scope of Masas's ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates.

Conventional structural steel suits an irregular geometry, heavy point loads, or a frame carrying equipment and services, such as a pipe rack.
